About

Hi, I’m Holly Ichida, and I believe life can be both frugal and fabulous.

As a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, I’ve always been passionate about creativity, beauty, and finding ways to make the most of what I have. Whether it’s fashion, beauty, home décor, cooking, or everyday living, I love transforming ordinary things into something extraordinary.

My husband and I have raised our family, and now that our children are grown, I find even more joy in sharing the lessons I’ve learned along the way. One of the greatest gifts I received came from my grandmother, who often said, “When life gives you scraps, make a quilt.” Those simple words have shaped the way I approach life. I’ve learned that beauty, abundance, and joy aren’t found in having more—they’re found in creatively using what you’ve already been given.

Our family has also embraced what I call “Two Fish Living.” It’s inspired by the story of Jesus feeding more than 5,000 people with just two fish and five loaves of bread. Before the miracle, Jesus gave thanks for what was already in His hands. Then He multiplied it beyond what anyone thought possible. After everyone had eaten and was satisfied, He instructed the disciples to gather the leftovers so that nothing would be wasted.

That story reminds me that abundance doesn’t begin when we have plenty. Abundance begins when we approach what we already have with gratitude. It teaches us to be faithful stewards, to waste nothing, and to trust that God can multiply our efforts, resources, talents, and blessings far beyond what we can imagine.

The Frugal and Fabulous life isn’t about deprivation or constantly chasing the next thing. It’s about recognizing the abundance already around us, making wise use of what we’ve been given, and creating beauty from everyday resources. It’s finding joy in a thrifted treasure, a simple meal shared with loved ones, a creatively decorated home, or a beauty routine that doesn’t break the budget.

My goal is to inspire others to live with gratitude, embrace creativity, and discover that a fabulous life doesn’t require excess. I believe that when we lead with thankfulness, steward our resources well, and trust God with the rest, we can build lives filled with joy, purpose, beauty, and abundance.

Here you’ll find budget-friendly beauty, affordable fashion, home décor inspiration, creative recipes, and practical ideas for living well without overspending. Together, we’ll learn how to live a life of “Two Fish Living”—creating something beautiful from what we have, wasting nothing, and celebrating God’s abundance every step of the way.

Welcome to a community where we celebrate living a life that is truly Frugal and Fabulous.
